Q1) How did you start your day today?

In the snow in Switzerland, in a heated outdoor swimming pool (true).

Q2) Do you have any morning rituals?

 Just like before bedtime, I like to Stretch and work on my yoga moves.

Q3) Which music do you choose for today?

As I’m in German speaking Switzerland I thought I would listen to an album by Françoise Hardy where she sings in German.

Q4) What made you happy last time?

Right now, snow. Yesterday, my meeting with artist “Not Vital” and a little while ago I was invited to a superb 18th century castle near Paris, which is still inhabited by the same family.

 Q5) Where is the best place you have been and why?

Naoshima and Teshima, two Japanese islands that offer incomparable artistic experiences. I am fascinated by the aesthetics and the art of living of this country. There are sublime works by Monet, Walter de Maria, James Turrell or even Lee Ufan in architectures by Tadao Ando.

Q6) Your current obsession?

Traveling again.

 Q7) Who would be your ideal dinner guest and why?

It would be Julien Gracq because for me he is the greatest French writer, but unfortunately, he’s dead. 

Q8) What relaxes you?

The Japanese onsen or Vals thermal baths.

Q9) What life skills are rarely taught but extremely useful?

Healing hypnosis or meditation.

Q10) One word to describe yourself?

Dreamer.

Q11) Which question do you want to ask the next person?
